We would like to inform that we have open call on EVS hosting Project in Cyprus . The hosting organization is Agros youth group, one of the biggest and most active youth organization of the country
Our project has approved from our National Agency and we have one free placement for a girl.
Below you can find detail info about project:
Basically, we are looking for 1 girl volunteer, who should start on 1st October 2010 for 8-12 months.
Well, for this project we are looking for 1 dedicated, motivated EVS girl to work with youth and children, who would like to get a good insight into work with young and elderly persons in Agros, who want to bring in their culture/abilities/ideas and have a nice time in Cyprus !
The activities of the volunteers during project will be:
1. One of the main activities that both volunteers will work on is to help in the kindergarten of the village. In the same building is the elderly floor where the host old people. The volunteers can also help in the kitchen of that floor.
2. Also the volunteers well help in the preparation, organization of the activities of Agros youth Club. They organising creative workshops for young people. EVS Volunteers will choose activities according to their personal interests and preference and they will lead some courses
3. To help in the realisation of international youth projects
Volunteer will be working as an assistant to the different project coordinators. There are 3 project coordinators responsible for different kind of projects: training courses, seminars, international youth exchanges and study visits. EVS volunteer together with Cypriot volunteers will be working, according to the up-to-date need, with one or another project coordinator on planning, implementation and evaluation of these projects.

We, the JIZ - Youth Information Centre in St. Vith, are searching a volunteer for our project 2010-BEDE-1

Dear friends,
the association InformaGiovani will co-ordinate a group EVS project in the city of Palermo, hosted by the association "Apriticuore".
The project is accredited under 2010-IT-29 and we look for 3 volunteers starting in January 2011 and staying for 10-12 months.
PLEASE NOTE THAT candidates must be aware of the fact that the service will be done for some months in the city of Palermo and some months in a small village 40 km far from Palermo.
The project will involve 2 EVS volunteers over a period of 10 months in the city and the Province of Palermo.
They will be involved in the activities of the Association “Apriticuore” dealing with the management of different community-houses for kids, boys and girls in need of social assistance (victims of abuses and violences, young offenders in probation period, handicaped people, minor immigrants and asylum seekers, etc).
Volunteers will support the work of the different communities, bringing the international and inter-cultural dimension to the work done by the staff of the association.
All the communities, and therefore the whole EVS project, are run in co-operation and under the supervision of different public authorities, in charge of monitoring and ensure high qualitative standar, child protection procedures, educational and psycological assistance to the kids and teenagers living hosted in the communities.
EVS volunteers will get involved in the activities of the Organization in order to stimulate both their cognitive and emotional level. Together with the mentor and the full staff of the Association volunteers will get involved in a path that provide step by step technical information, cultural knowledge, skills and operational capacities and, above all, will develop and improve the so called “transversal capabilities” that are essential part of a work with a strong social impact and environment.

"Tolbà", the hosting organization, has just applied to the Italian National Agency for the EVS accreditation.We are still waiting for the approval which we believe will come in few weeks, so we decided to start the selection process as we would like to apply for the project as soon as possible. We are happy to inform you that OMIX Ribadavia (the Youth Information Centre of Ribadavia) has EVS vacancies for the 1st September deadline. The project will start in December and last for one year. We are looking for two volunteers. One with computer and web design knowledge who could update the website of the organization, make short videos, give workshops on web design, and teach basic computer skills to young people. And another one with experience in the Youth in Action program (EVS and youth initiatives) who could inform the local young people about EVS and help them looking for a project, as well as, support the youngsters to realize their own initiatives.

My name is Rita Drouillet and I'm the EVS coordinator of Europe XXL (2009-fr-89). At the moment we are preparing a new project with 3 other organisations: Habitat Jeunes (2009-fr-125) MJC Riv Gauche (2009-fr-124) and AMPLI (2009-fr-126). We would like to have one volunteer for each project and all candidates shell be available from January until June. This should be a very nice project because all volunteers will live toguether but have diferent activities during the journey. They can create their own activities and also create activities toguether and incrise the partnership between all the hosting organisations. To have more informations about that please take a look on the database.
We will apply for the first September deadline and we would like to have all the originals of part III so we will go quite fast.
